Short-form video

Also called: shorts, short-form content

Vertical video under ~60 seconds made for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts feeds.

Short-form video is the bite-sized, usually vertical format that dominates TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts — typically 15–60 seconds, designed to be consumed and re-served in an endless feed. It is the primary discovery surface for new audiences today.

Its economics favor volume and variety: because the feed decides reach, posting many sharp clips gives the algorithm more chances to find an audience than posting one long piece.
