About Nova

What Nova actually does

You give Nova a long video — a podcast, a stream VOD, a webinar, a YouTube upload — either by pasting a link or uploading a file. Nova transcribes it, scores every segment for how well it would stand alone as a short, cuts the strongest moments, reframes them to vertical while tracking whoever is speaking, and burns in word-by-word captions. You get clips ready to post, not a project file to finish.

Nova also makes faceless videos, where there's no source footage at all: paste a script or a Reddit thread and it narrates the text in an AI voice over looping gameplay with kinetic captions.

Who builds it

Nova is independently built and operated — a small, self-funded operation, not a venture-backed team. Development started in May 2026 and the product has shipped continuously since.

Being small is why you'll find a real free tier instead of a trial, and why there are no customer-count banners or star ratings anywhere on this site: we don't have enough genuine reviews to cite yet, and inventing them isn't on the table. When there are real numbers worth showing, they'll appear here.

How Nova makes money

Subscriptions, and nothing else. The free tier gives you 60 minutes of video a month with no card; Pro is $29/month for 300 minutes and Premium is $99/month for 1500. There are also one-time minute top-ups if you need more without changing plan.

Nova doesn't sell your personal data and doesn't run ads. Processing costs real money per minute of video, so the pricing is simply the cost of running it plus margin. See pricing and the privacy policy.
