Nova ("Nova", "we", "us") is an AI video-clipping service that turns long-form videos into short clips and, with your permission, publishes them to your connected social accounts. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Nova you agree to this policy.

Data we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in, we collect your email address and basic profile details provided by your authentication provider (e.g. Google).
  • Content you provide. Videos you upload or link, and the clips, captions, titles, and thumbnails generated from them.
  • Connected-account tokens. When you connect a social platform (e.g. YouTube), we store the access and refresh tokens needed to publish content on your behalf. We never see or store your password for those platforms.
  • Payment information. If you subscribe, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details on our servers.
  • Usage and technical data. Basic operational logs (e.g. request timing, errors) used to keep the service running and secure.

How we use your data

  • To process your videos into clips (transcription, moment detection, caption and title generation, rendering).
  • To publish clips to the social accounts you explicitly connect and authorize.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the service.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.

Third parties we share data with

We share only what is necessary for the service to function:

  • OpenAI — video transcripts and related text are sent for transcription and caption/title generation.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — clips, thumbnails, and source files are stored in cloud storage.
  • Connected social platforms (e.g. YouTube, and others you connect) — clips and their metadata are published using the access you grant.
  • Stripe — payment processing.

We do not sell your personal data.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data — including stored clips, source files, and connected-account tokens — at any time by emailing novaaiadmin@gmail.com. Disconnecting a social account from your settings revokes Nova's stored tokens for that platform.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
