why does the taxi driver know his name?

A young man hops into a taxi late at night, but he feels a chill as the driver greets him by name. “Raheem, wah gwan?” The old black Toyota rumbles to life, and rain taps against the windshield. The driver’s eyes are hidden in shadows. “Yuh nuh wan look behind yuh,” he warns, voice low and eerie. Raheem’s heart races as they drive down an empty road. The streetlights flicker, and every turn feels wrong. Panic sets in. Suddenly, nik flings open the door and jumps out, sprinting into the night. He glances back, but the taxi vanishes into thin air.
